The Election Polls was a chance to help my community vote. In Mr. Amedeos class we had the chance to sign up to work the polls during a school day. The Poll workers needed to arrive between 5-6 A.M. and stay until closing at 11 P.M. 

The Election Polls meets the pillar take action. I had the opportunity to work in multiple stations each with a different task. Some stations handed out voting cards, others greeted the voters at the door, and the last station monitored the voters to ensure a fair election. The Election polls aren't nessecarlly understaffed but my contribution of time and energy helped them greatly, during this project I got to pay my dues as a civil servant and give back to my community.

Scientific Discoveries

The group projects helped me communicate ideas. At the start of Senior year Ms. Hull began assigning monthly projects. After provinding the instructions she would then place my classemates and I into random groups, a different group for each project.

The group projects represented the pillar communicating ideas, as I was grouped with new people each month and asked to complete a project focused on the unit we where currently on. Since each group was random it was hard to go into each project with a plan because everyone has their own way of doing work. However, by communicating with my partners I was able to be successful in each project assigned to me.

The term paper was a chance to write a paper on a topic of our choosing. Before writing the paper we needed to create our own law or improve on an already passed law. I choose to improve on the law of banning red dyes in the United States.. 

The Term Paper represented a pillar of JAGS, communicate ideas. During this paper I wrote a series of improvements on laws that are already implemented in the United States. After this I needed to explain how this law would pass through each stage of govenrnment. I also had to explain what would happen if the law didn't make the cut in voting. Finally, in the end my law passed through each stage of voting and The Red Dye Safety Act came to fruition.

French 1

Senior year French 1 applied to a pillar of JAGS, recognizing prespectives. Over the course of the year I learned much about French culture and their language. I learned how they great eachother, how their school scheduels are similar to ours, and much more. Although I only have a year of French under my belt I understand much more about their culture now than I did prior.
