Europe Photo Journal
Fourth quarter 2025
Ms Stone; JAGS
JAGS Pillar: Investigate the World
It is impossible to describe my trip to Europe in a couple paragraphs because it was such and incredible experience. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to travel to Europe again, but my friends and tour guide made the trip even more unforgettable. We visited France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and a quick stop through Liechtenstein.
Not only did I have a great time with my friends, but the communities we went to really helped me grow my understanding of other cultures. I feel so much more aware of the world and I cannot wait to explore more of the world in the future. It is impossible for me to think of one memory that I favor, but the Photo Journal attached holds some of my favorite photos and reflections.
Spanish Midterm Presentation
Second quarter 2024
Senora Munoz; AP Spanish Language and Culture
JAGS Pillar: Recognize Perspectives
One of the most informational things we did in Spanish this past year that I actually enjoyed was the midterm project. Our assignment was to research something about a Spanish speaking country and compare it to the United States and/or our own lives. It was really interesting to explore the world of music and dance in Argentina and to see the differences between that and those of America.
I also loved being in the Spanish Honors Society this past year because we got to teach Spanish lessons to elementary school students for a few weeks in February. Although they were a struggle at times, it was such a great experience to see little kids interested in learning a new language and learning about other cultures.

Second quarter 2024

JAGS Pillar: Communicate Ideas
Model UN was definitely not what I expected, however I am so glad that I got to be a part of it. Prior to this course I honestly never gave much thought to global issues, but now I can confidently say that I am much more educated on what is going on in the world around me.
I got to become Belgium, Germany, Mozambique, Poland, and The Netherlands because of this class and the many conferences we did. I loved getting the opportunity to collaborate with other students not only from Jackson, but across the state of Ohio. Learning more about the countries I was representing was definitely not an easy task, but it was incredible to take on the role of other countries.
Midterm Podcast Script
Second quarter 2024
Mr Gillette; AP English Language and Composition
JAGS Pillar: Investigate the World
Unlike freshman year, this podcast was created with a group and as a midterm, so error was not an option. I had an amazing time researching and editing this project because it opened my eyes to tons of different perspectives. Our topic was, "Does Money Buy Happiness?" It was really interesting to see what different types of people thought in regards to that question.
For example, younger people said that money did in fact buy happiness, but adults thought otherwise. I also think this project helped grow my ability to speak to other people. I was forced to go out into the world and interview complete strangers. I also enjoyed getting to edit the podcast and shape it so that it could tell a story.

Third quarter 2025
Mr Polen; Pre-Calculus
JAGS Pillar: Take Action
I have to admit, Pre-Calc was not my strong suit, I did however learn how to ask for help. I have always been a bit stubborn when it came to asking for assistance on homework or studying. Seeing how I was not excelling at the beginning of the year in this class, I grew in my ability to ask for help.
Although I am still not the math genius I would like to be, I have learned that it is okay to ask for help when you are struggling to understand something. My friends and teachers have helped me grow and this class gave me a challenge to overcome.
