Capstone

For my research, I wanted to tackle a lot of controversial topics that relate back to social media. I originally wanted to fully focus on parasocial relationships and the misleading way they present themselves, but as I got more involved in the social media accounts my research became more general. 

My research focused on the following: 

• parasocial relationships

• body image issues

• average usage by the week

• self-made influencers

• algorithm

• social media addiction

• phone addiction

• Cocomelon kids

• iPad kids

but not all of that ended up in the paper. 

Reflecting on my service project/product: I am very proud of myself this year! If you take a look at the JAGS or JSA Instagram pages, Tiktok, or even Facebook, a large majority of the content was created by me! 

This year has been quite a roller coaster, so it's a success in itself that I completed it!
