This year I took College Compostion II, throughout the semest we needed to explore a social issue that we belived needed more attention. I choose to focus on the Latin American refugee crisis and explore the causes of migration. We wrote 3 papers that then all alluded to our final term paper. For thsi paper on top of oustdie research we had to conduct a survey and an interview. I had frends and family take my survey and explroeed their views on the crisis and what role the international community has. For my interview I choose to interview Professor Nancy Powers who works at Kenyon College. Professor Powers is the associate director of teh center for the study of american domocracy and has a focus in latin american poltics.  

Government

This year I took CCP Government and we were tasked with a final term paper where we worked on creatng a law and the process it woudl ahev to go through to become law. I choose to focus on the need of a price cap for ambulance rides. Since I plan on going into the EMS/Fire feilds thhis is something I find interesting as many time people are hesitant to call for help due to the hefty price of the ride to the hospital. With a price cap more peopel would have access to the need care for survial in cases of emergencies.
