In order to participate in the San Bernardino Valley College Program, students must attend one of our partnering schools/districts and meet one of the following criteria:
A current adult school student enrolled in a high school equivalency program.
A high school student with a total weighted GPA of 2.0 or higher.
A high school student seeking to enroll in a student development course chosen with the help of their SBVC counselor.
A high school student who has completed a student development course at SBVC.
9th and 10th grade students wishing to take SBVC courses, will need to fill out a Petition for Academic Exception in addition to the other routine forms. This petition will go before a committee for approval. You will be notified about the petition's status via your SBVC student email account, which is created for you when you apply to the college. If approved, you may participate in the SBVC Program. Note: 9th and 10th grade students must still meet all other eligibility requirements.
* The SBVC Program currently only includes select courses that we have chosen in partnership with Big Bear High School. Our program does not currently offer all courses seen in the Academic Catalog. Failing to choose approved SBVC courses may result in fees being charged to your student account. Please contact your counselor for the available San Bernardino Valley College courses. ( Seems to be only taking about the ECDE (Cohort) Program, yes?)
