What Will We Learn in Tech Class?

This technology class is designed to be an intro to computers and their applications.  Ideally, the applications learned can be integrated into their classroom assignments. 

Students in 5th - 7th grade will learn about:

• parts of a computer

• basic computer maintenance

• digital safety and responsibility

• keyboarding skills

• Google Docs

• Google Slides

• Google Classroom

• Conducting internet searches for quality information

Students in 6th and 7th grade will also learn about:

• Google Sheets

• Scratch Coding

• Intro to Coding (https://www.khanacademy.org/computing/hour-of-code/hour-of-drawing-code/v/welcome-hour-of-code) - 7th grade starting in 2020-2021
