Design Thinking

What is Design Thinking?

Design thinking is when you have an idea and you take steps to get other perspectives on that idea. In order to do Design Thinking you need to understand the needs and feelings of others. Next, you need to understand what is the problem. You can use the perspective of other people to improve your idea. I used Design Thinking to help me make my dance project better.

Empathise- My Padlet

The empathise stage is when I think about other people's view of my project. I made a padlet so that people can express their thinking about my project.

My Conclusions from my Padlet

After looking at the first part of the padlet I understood that people have different thinking about dance. Some people think its fun, some think its a way to relax, some think its just too hard.

Define- What is the problem? How can I improve my project?

My interviewees need a way to understand the meaning of dance because people don't take dance as seriously as other subject areas.

Ideate- Create a list of ideas. My best idea to improve my project is....

Prototype- My improved experience to teach others about dance. I did this way because it shows people what dance is by sharing my knowledge from my research.

Test- This is an important part of the process because getting feedback lets you improve your project. I created a padlet to record people's feedback to my second video about dance.

To be updated as I receive feedback.
