Who We Are: Celebrating Me and My Learning Communities.

Queena Huang

Dear readers,

Welcome to my Primary Years Program Exhibition website. My name is Queena Huang and I have been in Beacon Hill School for about 2 years and I am currently in Year 6. Before joining Beacon Hill School, I was at American International School for a total of 3 years. When I was younger, my kindergarten was back in China. I live with my parents and a little brother who also goes to Beacon Hill School. I really enjoy dancing and singing. I started dancing when I was about 4, but I had to stop for some time because of my big move to Hong Kong. I started singing when I was about 7. I really like animals, but I currently have no pets, although I used to have a whole tank of fish. I am a really hard-working, organised, caring and open-minded person.

I am really proud of myself because this year in Year 6, I have completed many tasks that are really hard and I didn’t give up. I did all of this because of the encouragement of my mom and the support of all of my friends. The online learning because of the quarantine has been really hard, but my teacher is always there to help me keep on task to get things done. In Year 6, I really enjoyed doing the science fair at school because of the different projects we had and we learned a lot while having fun! That’s a win-win situation, right? This year was different from all the other years in school, because we had to suddenly be at home because of COVID-19. I really don’t enjoy being at home as I can’t be with my friends at school where learning is fun because of group work and it is easier to solve problems in class!

Sometimes I am nervous about secondary school because of the work getting much harder and the arrangements in my new secondary school being different. I’m worried that I might not fit in with new friends, but otherwise, I’m really excited to go to secondary school because of new people in that school. I have already met three super nice and caring friends who will also go to the same secondary school. I would really like to get involved in new activities that the school runs and also learn even more about different subjects.

This website about me will show you about my learning journey, my interests, my goals as a learner and a little bit about my life. I always try my best even in the parts where I get stuck. I really hope that you will understand me as a learner and help me reach my goals by leaving your comments. Please leave a positive comment on the visitor’s reflection page on my website.

At this point, I am feeling very confident about my past and look forward to my future. I cannot wait to meet my new teachers and friends at KGV, my new secondary school.

Kind regards,

Queena Huang
