Steps:
Print the campus release request form, or pick one up in the NBHS counseling office
Complete the form, including specific class periods to be dropped, the reason, and (most important) the parent signature
Drop off the completed form in your counselor's mailbox (outside their office door), or email it to them directly.
Check your email in the following days to see your updated schedule :-)
You should know:
Seniors need at least 3 classes in Fall and 2 classes in Spring, given they will meet the graduation requirement of 28 total credits on their transcript. Those classes may include courses taken in the College and Career Promise (CCP) program with BCC.
Students must submit a new campus release form for 2nd semester to be granted campus release.
Students are responsible for their own midday transportation, and may not be on campus during their release period.

Recommendation Letters
College and Scholarship Recommendation Letters are an important part of the application process. Please follow the steps below to ensure that you will get a great letter of recommendation from your teacher, counselor, community supporter etc.:
Ask the teacher or person to give a recommendation in person before the due date and before Common App or others send an automatic email.
Provide the teacher with a resume' that includes your career and college goals.
Give the teacher at least two (2) weeks notice to complete your letter.
Follow up is important, say or write a "thank you" note to let the person know you were accepted or received the scholarship.
