Welcome to Sculpture, a hands-on, minds-on course where your creativity will take shape—literally! In this class, you’ll explore the art of three-dimensional form using a variety of materials, tools, and techniques. From clay and wire to cardboard, found objects, and even digital tools, you’ll learn how to bring your ideas to life in physical space.
This course is designed to help you:
Understand the principles of 3D design
Develop skills in construction, carving, modeling, and assembling
Express yourself through form, texture, balance, and space
Analyze and respond to sculpture in both contemporary and historical contexts
You’ll also explore how sculpture intersects with culture, identity, and innovation—including opportunities to experiment with modern technologies, such as 3D modeling and AI-assisted design (in advanced projects).
Although you must have Art-1, you do not need any previous sculpture experience to take this class—just a willingness to explore, take creative risks, and engage in the process. Whether you're building something from scratch or reimagining everyday objects as art, this class will challenge you to see the world from new angles—literally and figuratively.
Let’s get our hands dirty, our ideas flowing, and our sculptures standing.
