The Principal's Award is presented to one senior student to recognize and celebrate their contribution to making NDA a school of excellence through leadership, academic performance, and community service. The 2020 Principal's Award is awarded to Spencer Terry for exhibiting excellence in leadership, character, performance, and most importantly service to others. Spencer 'showed up' everyday for our student body to make morning announcements this school year. He brought much humor to our day in his creative style in making those oftentimes mundane announcements. He is energetic and passionate in his leadership which makes it easy for others to follow. He arrives everyday with purpose and dressed with class to make for a great day! My favorite aspect of Spencer Terry is his ability to know and engage with all students. He is kind and compassionate and knows how to communicate for a cause in a way that is respectful of all. Spencer Terry will be remembered for his style, humor, and fun personality. Spencer embodied and was instrumental to making NDA a 'family' for students with pride. He reminded students of our school motto throughout the year: This is Our School - It's all about Pride - We are Family! Thank you Spencer for making NDA a great school everyday with your positive attitude and willingness to lead with such passion for your school!
