This Week

Happy Monday!

This week, students will continue exploring thermal expansion and contraction.

Thermal Energy Assessment: Thursday, 10/22

We will also begin exploring simple electrical circuits. Students will investigate the basic components needed to create a complete circuit, including a power source, wires, and a device such as a light bulb. They will learn how electrical energy travels through a closed circuit and why an open circuit prevents the flow of electric current.

Remember, science lab donations are greatly appreciated!

Missing Assignment Card

If your child is missing a computer-submitted assignment, he/she must complete and turn in a Missing Assignment Card. Missing Assignment Cards are available in both my regular classroom and the science lab.

Thank you for helping your child stay organized and up to date with their assignments!

EXTRA CREDIT

Students have until Monday, 10/26 to make corrections on the Thermal Energy Assessment.

Welcome to North Windy Ridge and 6th East! I currently teach science/social studies, and my teammates are Mrs. Deitz (language arts) and Mrs. Maas (math). I am a native of Weaverville and graduated from North Buncombe High School. Go Hawks! I attended Western Carolina University where I earned my bachelor and master's degree in middle grades education.
