Happy Monday!
Students will have a Science Method Assessment on Wednesday, September 16. A study guide has been provided and should be located in the Daily Folder. Please encourage your child to review the study guide at home.
In the next several weeks in 6th Grade Science, students are beginning our unit on Matter. Students will explore the idea that everything around us is made of matter and will learn how scientists describe and identify different types of matter. We will investigate physical properties such as mass, volume, density, state of matter, and solubility.
Students will also be introduced to atoms, elements, molecules, and compounds. They will learn that atoms are the tiny building blocks that make up matter and will begin using the Periodic Table to identify elements.I am excited to explore the fascinating world of matter!
Remember, science lab donations are greatly appreciated!
If your child is missing a computer-submitted assignment, he/she must complete and turn in a Missing Assignment Card. Missing Assignment Cards are available in both my regular classroom and the science lab.
Thank you for helping your child stay organized and up to date with their assignments!
