Art
All grades will participate in creating a large school community mural that will be hung in the windows of the cafeteria. We will feature a collaborative art piece with a guitar, flowers, shapes, and the words "we are the change" in a graffiti style.
Music
Music
Each grade level will learn a song inspired by Change Sings. Some classes may incorporate movement or sign language to go along with the song. Classes may also learn about the guitar and other instruments seen and heard in the book.
P.E.
P.E.
In Physical Education we will be doing Mindful activities with Mind Yeti, Slumberkins characters,books, and some yoga activities.
These activities will help students to stretch and strengthen both their bodies and their brains for PE, and to help with self regulation.
S.T.E.M.

Students in the STEM labs will use art, design, math, technology and problem-solving skills to create fantastically, innovative can struction. The current design plan will be converting the can struction into a speaker that reads the book "Change Sings". Laser lights are also part of the current design proposals. They will be using unopened cans of food to build their design, and all cans will then be donated to Love Chapel to help families in our community. The project will be on display on April 4th at our Title one Game night.

Library
The library will be showcasing books about "changemakers" in our world. We will also have special guest readers coming in to read our "One Book, One School" book, Change Sings, with our students.
Here is a picture of our "Change Sings Tree." Each colorful leaf has an idea on it for how we can be changemakers (i.e., "smile," "hold the door open for someone," "pick up trash," etc.).
