Marilyn Birt | Strategic Partner Relationship Manager | HSBC

Marilyn has over 25 years of experience in IT and Telecoms across multiple sectors and is currently the vice chair of the BCS SM-ITAM specialist group.

She has been working as a consultant for nearly 20 years in outsourcing delivery either delivery side or client side of the deals, but the most recent 15 years of this period has led her to focus on the commercial and procurement side of these deals, managing strategic global partnerships and the contracts that deliver these 3rd party services.

James Bore| Cyber Security Hygenist | Bores Group Limited

James is an independent consultant and Director of a family security and technology consultancy established in 1988.

A member of the Register of Chartered Security Professionals and with an MSc in Cyber Security, he has a wealth of both theoretical knowledge and practical skills built up over two decades of work experience across a diverse range of companies. His proudest professional moments these days are watching his students through CAPSLOCK go on to build and enjoy their own careers in the security industry and his mentees standing on stage to give their first talk at conferences.

When not writing, on a stage, consulting, building scenarios, teaching, or training he enjoys reading cheap fiction books and philosophy, talking to his bees, and cooking.

With a technical background in business and systems analysis, Rory has a wide range of first-hand experience advising numerous companies and organisations on the best practices and principles pertaining to software asset management. This experience has been forged in both military and civil organisations, including the Royal Navy, Compaq, HP, The Federation against Software Theft (FAST) and several software vendors.

In 2012, Rory founded SAM Charter, a process-driven SAM consultancy - focusing on implementing best-in-class SAM processes that sit around SAM suite implementations. More recently, Rory was invited to join WG21 - the working group that oversees the development of the ISO 19770 family of SAM standards; and has recently become the ISO 19770-7 (Tagging Orchestration) lead.

Simon Cornwell | Global head of Service Delivery | GfK

Simon is a technology leader with over 30 years experience in consulting, delivery and governance of major tech-enabled change programmes, mergers and acquisitions, business change management, strategy and architecture, and service delivery. His experience has been built across multiple sectors through working on organization and technology transformations with organizations such as Capgemini, Atos, WPP, Belron, and the UK Government.

Simon is currently the Global Head of Service Delivery for GfK, the leading provider of data and intelligence to the consumer goods industry. He has created an IT service organization spanning 31 countries delivering service to 9,000 people in more than 50 countries.

He has a passion for creating diverse and inclusive teams and uses his own experiences to encourage a psychologically safe workplace where people can build a genuine sense of belonging.

Dai Davis | Partner | Percy Crow Davis and Co.

Dai is a Technology Lawyer and Chartered Engineer. He holds Masters degrees in both Physics and Computer Science. He is a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. Dai has for decades consistently been recommended in the Legal 500 and in Chambers Guides to the Legal Profession. Having been national head of Intellectual Property Law and later national head of Information Technology law at Eversheds, Dai is now a partner in his own specialist law practice, Percy Crow Davis & Co.

Dai has a nationwide legal practice, including many London clients. Dai advises clients on Information Technology law, Intellectual Property law and Data Protection issues. Dai is a non-executive director of FAST (The Federation Against Software Theft) and a Liveryman of the City of London through the WCIT (Worshipful Company of Information Technologists).

He is primarily a transactional lawyer, drafting and helping clients to negotiate agreements in his specialist area. Further “super specialisms” that Dai has practised for over two decades are software security issues, high-tech product safety and product recall, including the law relating to the CE, UKCA and UKNI Markings.

Stuart Dicken | Principal Consultant | bedigital

Stuart is currently the Principal Consultant at bedigital putting a new spin on SAM through Agile TAM with 25 years of experience in the ITAM industry.

Hi work includes providing global SAM services to some of the world’s most recognisable names in both public and private sector organisations in the UK and USA provide tangible benefits and savings.

He has worked for and with most of the major ITAM tool providers, designed and delivered SAM Services at global levels as an outsource service provider and has developed and ran IT services to ISO19770-1 standards within organisations so is well positioned to help explore the subject of Build, Buy Borrow.

Vicky Glynn | Head of Strategic Growth | Cloudsoft

Vicky has spent 20 years driving success for private and public sector customers with large and complex IT estates. Vicky brings a wealth of experience in managing, marketing to and delivering products for large enterprise accounts, specialising in regulated industries.

She is passionate about the benefits cloud and infrastructure solutions can bring, and on delivering technology solutions and services, in a no nonsense way, that help customers grow and innovate, ensuring they remain competitive and resilient in an increasingly complex market.

SAMexpert’s CEO and founder, Alexander has been around Microsoft technology for over 30 years, licensing – for over 20 years. He stands by independence, transparency, knowledge sharing and putting people first. Alexander lives in Gloucestershire, UK. Apart from the main business and running a YouTube channel “SAMexpert.tv”, he likes running, making videos, taking

photographs, and writing electronic music.

Richard Josey | Lead Service Management Solution Architect | AFJ Solutions

Richard has over 18 years experience in Service Management and has been the driving force behind many organisations' efforts to implement and embed mature service management processes both as a consultant and CSI manager.

He is the Chair of the BCS Service Management and IT Asset Management Specialist Group (BCS SM-ITAM SG) and is a public speaker and thought leader, including and has spoken at events for organisations such as Gartner, itSMF, Cherwell and BCS conferences.

Konrad Kawalec | Governance, Risk & Compliance

Konrad has worked in IT for 35 years. He started installing a new fangled thing called 'networks' back in the 80's, was certified to install 5 different networks at one point and quickly settled on Novell. He was dragged kicking and screaming to Microsoft NT in the late 90s.

GDPR and all the work around cyber security has at last brought information security to the notice of the C-Suite. Good information security is a business enabler; better outcomes for citizens and less stress on those delivering. What does good look like though?

Jade is an Account Manager within Brand Compliance and is the first point of contact for new and existing customers and our cooperation partners. Her focus at Brand Compliance is on the standards related to information security and quality. Together with the customer, she looks at which standards are appropriate for the organization, whether obtaining certification is really the solution, and she informs the customer how they can start implementing the standard.

She really enjoys contact with her customers and always strives for a personal and clear approach during the certification and audit process.

In addition, she likes to organize joint webinars, info sessions and events in the field of information security and quality. This provides added value for all organizations that aim to achieve certification and everyone who is concerned with this topic.

Mark O'Neil | Head of Sales, Northern Europe | Origina

Mark leads Origina’s business across Northern Europe (incl. UK & I) and has over 20 years experience in building, delivering and selling enterprise IT solutions across all sectors.

Mark’s current focus is on helping organisation’s leverage the value of third party support options in the IBM space and achieve far superior value for money than that offered by traditional support models.



Tim Payne | DevOps Lead / Principal Engineer | AND Digital Ltd

Tim has worked in the IT industry for well over 25 years with most of that time being spent in the CM, SCM, and DevOps related verticals. For the last 15 years or so, he has been splitting his time between consultancy, enterprise/system architecture, coding and delivery related roles.

He currently works at AND Digital as a Principal DevOps Lead where he helps AND's clients realise their Cloud and DevOps related journeys. Prior to that he worked at HCL as a senior DevOps architect and helped clients like IKEA, Bank of Ireland and BP in their Agile/DevOps transformations.

Tim is an avid petrol-head who likes to spend his free time restoring classic British cars and runs several car clubs, organising events at both a local and national level. He has quite a collection of rare cars which include TVRs, Marcos, Lotus and Lanchester makes.
