Rory Canavan | Trainer and Consultant | ITAM Accelerate

Rory is the founder and CEO of SAMCharter as well as a founder of ITAM Accelerate. Rory has a wide range of first-hand experience advising numerous companies and organisations on the best practices and principles pertaining to software asset management.

Rory worked with Kylie Fowler to recently establish ITAM Accelerate to provide advanced ITAM training to IT Asset Managers.

Victoria started off as a project and strategic expert for multi million pound and high profile initiatives such as Olympics 2012 and MPs expenses.

In the last few years, Victoria has surrendered to the calling to heal those who suffer in silence and has completely transformed her life and that of others.

Recently anointed as an African Oracle during a trip sponsored by two Masters of Pranic Healing (there are only 8). She spends most of her time healing by connecting with your book of life and with your soul’s history to heal the dis-eased body by using divine touch, guidance and in some cases food.

Victoria is renowned for holding and creating a space for the alignment of the soul & body mapping allowing for high energy physical or remote energy healing.

Kylie Fowler | Trainer and Consultant | ITAM Accelerate

Kylie is an experienced Software Asset Manager, trainer and coach with a track record of enabling companies to optimise their estate through the creation of best practice and compliant IT Asset Management frameworks.

Kylie is passionate about passing on her expertise and, with Rory Canavan, has recently established ITAM Accelerate to provide advanced ITAM training to IT Asset Managers that moves beyond the theory provided in foundation courses to enabling students to actually implement their learning within their own organisations and drive ITAM benefits.

Prof. Steven Furnell | Professor of Cyber Security | University of Nottingham

Steven is a professor of cyber security at the University of Nottingham. He is also an Honorary Professor with Nelson Mandela University in South Africa and an Adjunct Professor with Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. His research interests include usability of security and privacy, security management and culture, and technologies for user authentication and intrusion detection. He has authored over 340 papers in refereed international journals and conference proceedings, as well as books including Cybercrime: Vandalizing the Information Society and Computer Insecurity: Risking the System. Prof. Furnell is the Chair of Technical Committee 11 (security and privacy) within the International Federation for Information Processing, and a board member of the Chartered Institute of Information Security.

Nigel Hopkins | Business Practice Specialist - Asset & Configuration Management | IKEA

Nigel has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry. From 2011, he worked as IT capacity manager at IKEA IT AB, as a member of a small cross-functional team incorporating capacity management and SAM, with license management being a key area of involvement both in terms of optimization and negotiation. Having adopted an agile methodology in 2018, Nigel and his colleagues have extended and expanded this approach to service supply. As part of major reorganisations establishing IKEA digital, the original team has been re-imagined, repositioned, and extended, reflecting the business-focused approach to ITAM. In his downtime, Nigel designs board games that simulate the strategies and challenges of corporate IT.

Richard Josey | Lead Service Management Solution Architect | AFJ Solutions

Richard has over 18 years experience in Service Management and has been the driving force behind many organisations' efforts to implement and embed mature service management processes both as a consultant and CSI manager.

He is the Chair of the BCS Service Management and IT Asset Management Specialist Group (BCS SM-ITAM) and is a public speaker and thought leader, including and has spoken at events for organisations such as Gartner, itSMF, Cherwell and BCS conferences.

Dennis Montanje | Certification Workstream Lead | ITAM Forum

Dennis is a Trustee with the ITAM Forum (www.itamf.org), a global, not-for-profit trade body for the advancement of the ITAM profession. He also leads the Forum’s Certification workstream, which aims to create – and be a caretaker of – the new ISO 19770 standard certification program so organisations can demonstrate the quality of their ITAM practices.

Dennis also holds a volunteer position and is a contributor to the ISO/IEC 19770 standard for ITAM.

Dennis is Managing Director of Softline Solutions Northern Europe and a board member of the Softline Group, Europe’s leading and independent Software Asset Management & IT Asset Management expert. He and his team help organizations achieve Compliance, Control and Cost savings for their IT.

Christopher Patten | Guild Leader & Architect

After a varied career as a programmer, architect and engineering manager, Chris realised there was something missing from the way we look at transformation. He started combining his love of tech with an interest in psychology and reinvented himself as a transformation specialist. Funny thing is, many of these skills are common-sense but under-used in the average corporate environment. He set out to discover why and how to fix it and is now a change, growth and decentralisation specialist. Chris accelerates transformation through dialogue and networking.

Dr Tim Payne | DevOps Lead / Principal Engineer | AND Digital Ltd (Hamilton Club)

Tim has worked in the IT industry for well over 25 years with most of that time being spent in the CM, SCM, and DevOps related verticals. For the last 15 years or so, he has been splitting his time between consultancy, enterprise/system architecture, coding and delivery related roles. He currently works at AND Digital as a Principal DevOps Lead where he helps ANDs clients realise their Cloud and DevOps related journeys. Prior to that he worked at HCL as a senior DevOps architect and helped clients like IKEA, Bank of Ireland and BP in their Agile/DevOps transformations.

Tim is an avid petrol-head who likes to spend his free time restoring classic British cars and runs several car clubs, organising events at both a local and national level. He has quite a collection of rare cars which include TVRs, Marcos, Lotus and Lanchester makes.

Dr Krzysztof Rubiniec | IT Service Architect |

Krzysztof has 30+ years experience working in IT, with over 15 years experience working in ITIL/Service Management/Service Delivery

He has a Ph.D. in Physics, and an MBA in IT - Computer Network studies

Krzysztof has worked in various size companies, from own start-up to corporate and is a passionate LEAN thinker.

Elena Shevchenko is a digital marketing researcher and educator with a special interest in online consumer engagement, and digital technology adoption in marketing. She has been teaching a range of marketing and business communication courses for universities in Dubai and the UK. Before moving into academia, Elena worked as a marketing professional in hospitality and higher education in Dubai.
