PTA

Roland Park Elementary and Middle School Parent Teacher Association

Who we are:

We are an elected team of highly passionate and committed volunteer parents, school staff, and our Principal, Mr. Brandon Pinkney. We meet as an Executive Board monthly to address the fluctuating needs of the school community. We have three general meetings over the course of the school year that anyone can attend, member or not. We also have various subcommittees that people can join: MayMart, Roland Park After Dark Fundraising Event, Wellness, Green, and Equity.

What we have done:

We have two purposes: 1) fundraising for materials and resources for teachers and families, and 2) enhancing community spirit and connections by hosting various events and maintaining a consistent social media presence.

We also collaborate with the RPEMS Annual Fund and Community Resources, like the Roland Park Public Library, Morgan State’s Benny the Bear, Loyola University’s Iggy the Greyhound, Notre Dame of Maryland University, and many others.

Events and Activities that PTA sponsors in a school year:

- addressing equity issues by providing funds to families in need so that opportunities are not lost

- recruiting and organizing volunteers
