Grab and Go Boxes:
Grab and Go grocery boxes
During the summer, sidewalk grab-and-go grocery boxes will be available at some meal sites and schools on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Tuesdays: Lakeland, Maree G. Farring, John Ruhrah, Belair Edison, Arlington, Leigh Walk, Vivien T. Thomas, Dunbar
Thursdays: Sandtown-Winchester, Matthew A. Henson, Gwynns Falls, Dorothy I. Height, Alexander Hamilton, The Historic Cherry Hill, Beechfield, Sinclair Lane, Calvin M. Rodwell, Baltimore International Academy, Green Street Academy, Fallstaff
They are also available on Fridays from noon to 2 p.m. at Elmer A. Henderson: A Johns Hopkins Partnership School.
(English, Spanish, French, Korean, Chinese, Arabic): Baltimore City is partnering with Amazon to deliver grocery boxes to residents who:
Can’t leave home because they’re at increased medical risk, sick or in quarantine
Don’t have family, friends or neighbors who can get food for them
Don’t receive food delivery through other programs
Can’t afford paid meal or grocery delivery
Have somebody at home who is able to prepare meal
Adults 60 and older: call 410-396-2273, and residents 59 and younger: call 2-1-1.
You may qualify to receive SNAP Benefits. Residents can apply for SNAP benefits online at mydhrbenefits.dhr.state.md.us. Residents may also call the DHS Call Center at 1-800-332-6347 (TTY 1-800-735-2258), available from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. To determine eligibility for SNAP, click here.
P-EBT: All students in Baltimore City Public Schools are eligible for up to $370.50 in extra food benefits due to school closures. These benefits, called Pandemic-EBT, or P-EBT, are intended to help families in Maryland purchase food while schools are closed. Please make sure your address is correct in Infinite Campus. To update your contact information, please send an email with two proofs of address, a picture ID, contact information, student's name and school. From June 29 through August 21, City Schools has partnered with 18 schools across the city to serve as distribution sites for grab-n-go meals, produce and grocery boxes, academic materials, and other key resources for our communities! In coming weeks, sites will be distributing summer learning challenges from the Pratt, personal hygiene products from Colgate, book bundles for K-8 scholars from the Parent's Choice Foundation, and much more!
In July, sites will be open Monday to Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
