Either way, if you want to use Apple devices on the City Schools network, iPads must be joined to our Mobile Device Management system (MDM), and Macs must be configured with the City Schools image.
Submit a HEAT ticket (New Incident to ITD) and request your 'off contract' devices be configured.
Once devices are managed by Baltimore City Schools, they are considered property of City Schools.
Remember, when you buy off-contract, or receive donated equipment, you are limited on services and add-ons that come with contract devices.
Devices purchased through City Schools approved vendors include software/console licenses, imaging, joining to the domain, extended warranty, theft-recovery software, initial setup and installation, and hardware support.
