Puppetry

This year, we have started a new extra-curricular activity- Puppetry! Puppetry is a great way to use English in a fun and relaxed setting, as well as develop speaking and acting skills! Some lovely P5 students have joined our team and will eventually perform the script, "Smart Aladdin and Silly Genie", an adaption of the traditional tale of Aladdin, adapted and written by Ms. Marzia. In the story, the genie is the bad guy and the rest of the characters must work together to stop him taking Princess Jasmine away forever!

Students have been doing an awesome job in class, making beautiful hand puppets as well as learning the script and practicing acting with the puppets. We hope to take part in an inter-school competition organised by the Hong Kong Education Bureau, as well as put on a live performance at school- we can't wait!

Puppetry Show- "Smart Aladdin and Silly Genie"

BCKPS is proud to present our P5 students' performance of "Smart Aladdin and Silly Genie"! After months of hard work, practice and dedication, the students used their handmade puppets and backdrops to put on a wonderful puppet show, written by Ms. Marzia and adapted from the classic tale of 'Aladdin'. Enjoy! ^_^

Puppetry Lessons Update: Performance Coming!

Our keen puppeteers have been practicing really hard to learn their lines and perfect their puppetry skills in time for a competition! We are almost ready to record a full puppet show, where the students will perform the script "Smart Aladdin and Silly Genie". Everyone has been doing a great job and improved a lot over the last few months. We are all looking forward to the inter-school competition and hope to do well...fingers crossed!
