Paris vs. Menelaus (WIP)
BRIEF: Currently animating a fight scene between Menelaus and Paris based on the Iliad book 3.
ROLE: Storyboard artist, 2D animator, Director
SOFTWARE USED: Clip Studio Paint, TVPaint Animation
As part of my dream goal to one day create an anime-style adaptation of Homer's Iliad, I've started working on animating a fight scene between the Greek King Menelaos and the Trojan prince, Paris, as they duel to see who shall get to keep Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world, as their wife.
Weathering
BRIEF: Read the director's script for the flashback scene, storyboard and 2D animate this scene in line with the director's vision.
ROLE: Storyboard artist, 2D animator
SOFTWARE USED: Clip Studio Paint, TVPaint Animation
Last summer, I volunteered to assist on two different MA students' graduation films who were on the Film, Animation and Digital Arts (FADA) course at the University of Surrey.
This short film directed by Ragesh Changam came 5th in the Kerala Short Film Festival 2025, and tells the story of an elderly man overcoming the trauma he suffered from a boating accident during a storm in which his wife passed away. I supported Ragesh in making this film by storyboarding and animating the flashback scene the main character has when he remembers the day he lost his wife. I storyboarded and animated this entire scene independently while frequently liaising with Ragesh to ensure he would be happy with the result.
Gummy Bear
BRIEF: Discuss with the director how to storyboard and 2D animate this scene in line with the director's vision.
ROLE: 2D animator
SOFTWARE USED: Clip Studio Paint, TVPaint Animation
The second graduation short film I assisted on at the University of Surrey was Gummy Bear by Teodora Stoimenova. This short film is about a young girl trapped in a dream where she encounters shadowy monsters which are embodiments of her negative feelings. I created all the 2D animation in this scene where a giant monster representing 'loneliness' is tempted out of a cave by a gummy bear and dissolves into light as the girl wakes up. The other assets in this scene (the background, the girl, and the gummy bear) are the 3D assets Teodora created in Blender.
Chainsaw Man Choice
BRIEF: Creating a fan-art animation in a vertical format of an existing IP I enjoy set to a song that I think particularly fits it.
ROLE: Storyboard artist, 2D animator
SOFTWARE USED: Clip Studio Paint
I created this loop in homage to Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga, 'Chainsaw Man' which I am a huge fan of. The music is Jack Stauber's 'Choice' song which has lyrics that I think fit Chainsaw Man's themes very well. I uploaded this as an Instagram reel to my art page and it gained over 10,000 views.
The Balloon
BRIEF: Create an animated short film in one week based on the storyboard I submitted as part of my application to this course.
ROLE: Director, storyboard artist, stop-motion, animator, voice actor
In 2012 as I turned 12, I created what I realise is my actual first film: a short stop-motion cut-out paper animation about a little bear's birthday wish going wrong. I created this film in one week during the Film & Video Workshop's Animake-It course which I was selected to attend. The selection process involved drawing and submitting your own storyboard for the film you would make.
