Special Issue in Memory of Professor Ezio Venturino
About the Special Issue:
This Special Issue of Mathematical Biosciences and Engineering is dedicated to the memory of Professor Ezio Venturino, whose scientific contributions and personal commitment left a lasting impact on mathematical biology and applied dynamical systems. His research spanned nonlinear systems, population dynamics, epidemiology, and ecological modeling, combining mathematical rigor with real-world biological and public-health applications.
Professor Venturino was a founding member and long-standing contributor to the DSABNS (Dynamical Systems Applied to Biology and Natural Sciences) conference series. Through his active involvement, DSABNS became a vibrant international forum fostering interdisciplinary exchange, mentorship, and collaboration. His influence continues to inspire the scientific spirit and community values of the series.

We welcome original research articles reflecting the breadth of Professor Venturino’s interests, including but not limited to:
Mathematical epidemiology
Population and ecological dynamics
Nonlinear dynamical systems
Applications in biology and natural sciences
Contributions emphasizing both theoretical developments and applied modeling are encouraged.
