Young Researcher Fellowship – DSABNS 2026 (Sponsored by SMB)
The Society for Mathematical Biology (SMB) will fund 8 fellowships (reduced early-bird registration fee of €250 each) to support young researchers attending the 17th DSABNS 2026 in Granada, Spain.
Be a Pre-Doctoral Student at the time of application, or a Post-Doctoral Researcher who obtained their Ph.D. within the last two years.
Submit an abstract to the conference (Poster or Oral presentation). All participants, including those giving Contributed Talks (CT) and invited to Minisymposia (MS), are eligible.
Provide proof of attendance at the meeting.
How to Apply
Applications must include:
Application Letter (free format, max. one A4 page) explaining motivation to attend.
Short CV.
Abstract submitted to the congress as first author. Applicants participating in an accepted MS should indicate their MS and the title of their talk, and ensure that the abstract clearly describes their contribution, especially in cases where author order does not reflect the main contributor.
Fellowship Details
Fellowships will be provided as a reimbursement of the registration fee (€250) after the conference, upon confirmation of attendance and presentation at DSABNS 2026.
The award decision will be announced no later than October 30, 2025.
Grants will be awarded based on the scientific significance of the application.
Awardees may receive only one fellowship to attend DSABNS.
