Pre-Work

1. Finalize your Resume and Cover Letter by December 17th

Answer the following questions and share with your Leadership Coach:

2. Grounding in your moral imperative, recall a time when you achieved a “professional best.” What did you do? Why did you do it? How did you do it? What steps did you take? What was the impact or result? How does reflecting on your "professional best" help you to prepare and inform your own hiring process as a leader? Please submit this to your LC by January 3rd, 2022

3. By December 20th, you will receive practice interview questions that touch on the following categories:

For each question, prepare a response telling your stories using the Belief-Experience-Application framework to be submitted to your LC by January 3rd, 2022

• 1. 1. 1. Leadership-Self Awareness: Why do you believe that you're the right leader for School X?/What kind of leader are you?

        2. Leadership-Change Management: Describe a time when you collaborated with others to effectively achieve a common goal. How did you assert your ideas to serve the common goal? What compromises did you make?

        3. School Culture: What strategies have you implemented to create a positive school culture?

        4. Instructional Leadership: You are observing an ELA/Math/Science/etc. classroom, what do you look for to indicate students are learning effectively?

        5. Teacher Coaching: Describe a time when you gave instructional feedback to a teacher who disagreed with you? What did you do to move the teacher forward?

        6. Equity: What is your approach to disrupting inequities (for students of color/SWDs, etc.)?

        7. Family & Community Engagement: How do you approach managing parent/family concerns (i.e. unhappy with a teacher, their child’s performance)? What do you do?
