Each school should have a team that is dedicated to ensuring the vision of excellent instruction is realized in its classrooms. The main work of this team is to set and to ensure resources and time are leveraged in service of this vision. This team should also work to invest in the school community and stakeholders in the vision of excellent instruction. In service of this, it is recommended that teachers be included on this team. This team should also ensure that the Culture of Achievement is represented and connected in the work of instruction.
Meeting occurs at least monthly
The Instructional Leadership Team is composed of school leaders and teachers. This helps to ensure buy in and that teachers have a voice in the instructional work
Meeting agendas are focused on improving instruction and not on operational components
Clear trajectory and arc for the work of the team grounded in the vision for excellent instruction and acting in cohesion with the other components of the system
