For this study, student participants will be asked to fill out a preliminary survey (should not take more then 10 minutes).  After the survey is completed, the student can then choose to participate in the interview to gain one service hour, or stop after taking the survey. Surveys must be filled out before the interview. That being said, the survey can be completed without intention of participating in the interview.

Where: Mr. Lesh's room (149)

Steps to participate:

1.) Complete the Informed Consent Form here to participate. Please bring a signed copy with you to the interview, or copy and digitally sign the form. The digital form can be sent to 25tayfell@bbhcsd.org before the interview session.

2.) Fill out the preliminary survey here to the best of your ability.

3.) If you choose to participate in the interview for service hours, sign up for your interview time on this SignUp Genius.  You will not need to bring anything with you to the interview.

Whether you participated in the interview or not, all information gained from the survey and interview is crucial to this study. Thank you for taking the time to help me with my research!

Smartphone Screen Time Management Study

Open To All BBH High School Students!

Start Date: Week of 1/22

Here’s an overview of the study:

While the study seems very long and complex, you only need to take time out of your daily schedule for the 1st Meeting and 2nd Meeting (scheduling a meeting is flexible and will be explained later). For the two weeks in between the 1st and 2nd Meeting, you are highly encouraged but not required to use a setting that sets time limits on social media apps.

The incentives are 2 opportunities to win $25 and 4 service hours. To see if you qualify to participate in my research study please complete this very short quiz: https://forms.gle/sEr9vpxFD4r42wHAA

Thank you for your help! I will try to contact you on whether or not you have qualified for the study in 1-3 days, and a follow up survey to schedule the meetings will be released.
