Volunteer-palooza 2024
Welcome!
To the 2024 AP Research cohort's Volunteer Page
The purpose of this website:
To help our AP Research Scholars gather data for their research projects.
To provide a "one-stop shop" for our students to choose a study (or studies!) that interest them.
To inform the student body of volunteer hours and possibilities for credit.
The fine print of volunteerism:
It is expected that any student under the age of 18 obtain written parental consent to take part in these data collections.
Each separate data collection method has an "informed consent" letter that explains the entire collection method and what can be expected.
Each data collection method should have the researchers direct contact information, if you have any questions about the method.
Each data collection method is approximately one hour, and we have been given permission to grant service hours for NHS and Key Club.
All data collection methods have been reviewed by a BBHHS faculty council, who reviewed for fairness, harm (mental, physical, and emotional), and benefits.
This is NOT the same as an IRB.
The researchers seeking data collection are:
Sophia Boland
Josh Choi
Jesse Hansen
Grace Hunt

Laynie Kraus
Gabriel Krenisky
Lillie Marsh
Abby Martello
Maya Meilander
Laya Raghav

About AP Research:
AP Research is the second course in the two-course series for the "AP Capstone" diploma, as designated by College Board™ , the overseer of all AP coursework in high schools worldwide.
In AP Research, students embark on a year-long investigation on a topic of their choosing, where they identify a gap in the research and attempt to fill some or all of their identified gap. They thoroughly investigate their areas of inquiry and develop a specific method to collect data.
Each data collection method has been designed by the researcher through their research process.
Thank you for choosing to take part in our data collection!
Use the top menu bar to search for your favorite AP Researchers' projects!
Please check back for data collection events that are not ready yet! We need your input.
Your volunteerism is very much appreciated by the AP Research cohort!
