COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course brings U.S. history to life through discussion, hands-on activities, interactive lessons, simulations, and project-based learning. Students explore the history, geography, and culture of the United States from early Indigenous societies through the Progressive Era.
Students will act as historians—asking questions, examining authentic historical sources, and participating in discussions that emphasize critical thinking and multiple perspectives. Rather than simply memorizing facts, we focus on understanding how historical events and decisions continue to influence our government, economic systems, and social issues today.

Our core curriculum is TCI History Alive! The United States Through Industrialism. Throughout the year, it is supplemented with primary sources, interactive activities, simulations, videos, projects, and other resources that allow students to investigate history from multiple perspectives.
