“Smell the flower, blow out the candle”: Pretend you are smelling a flower and then blowing out the candle
Straw Breathing: Literally breathing in and out of a straw
Rainbow Breath: Raise arms out to each side breathe in until arms are straight over head, lower arms back to starting position and breathe out.
Square Breathing: breathe in and count to four, hold breath and count to four, breathe out to the count of four, hold breath to the count of 4, repeat.
Belly breathing: Sit comfortably, put one hand on your belly, take a deep breath in your nose and try to make your tummy expand, breathe out your mouth, repeat
Pinwheel breathing: Literally blow on a pinwheel. Allow students to take them with them.
