Credit Requirements and Graduation Pathways

To graduate, all students must complete 24 credits.

Students may select from two options to complete the requirements for their high school diploma:

 1)  For those who are college bound, they will complete 2.0 credits in Fine/Performing Arts + 2.0 credits of World Language

       OR

2)  Those interested in entering directly into the workforce will complete 1.0 credits in Fine/Performing Arts + 3.0 credits of Personalized Pathway Requirements (PPR)

Personalized Pathway Requirements (PPR) are courses selected by the student to explore and gain experience in their career or industry recognized pathway.

When looking at electives during Forecasting, students who are interested in attending a college or university should take college entrance exam requirements into consideration.

*Students who experience circumstances that create barriers to on-time graduation may request a "Circumstance Waiver" of up to 2.0 credits in the senior year. This waiver is available for elective credits only. (BGPS School Board Policy 2418). Students need to meet with their counselors to discuss waivers.
