Using the Helpdesk - Your First and Quickest Avenue for Help
Utilizing the Help Desk allows any Battle Creek Public Schools employee to enter a ticket for break-fix technology support. Whether your laptop is broken, your student's Chromebook is broken or not working, you need a website allowed or blocked, or your projector is on the fritz, our Technology Team is here to assist you. We have top-notch problem solving skills, isolating the exact issue and getting you back on your way.
Utilizing the Help Desk allows others on the Technology Team to view your request. That way if a member of the team is out of the office, another can step in. Additionally, ticket times are tracked and reported back to the District as well as Calhoun ISD leadership. If you cannot access the Help Desk for some reason, you may call the Help Desk at 269-213-3563.
Whether you're a teacher, staff member, or administrator, by utilizing the Help Desk, you will be taken care of as soon as possible. Emailing the helpdesk is a thing of the past, so be sure you login and start a ticket to get assistance with minimal delay!
What do I do if...
Q: My name is incorrect and I cannot login?
A: Your first stop is going to be with the Payroll Office! Payroll will require documentation from you and then approve a name change in our systems.
Q: I need to update my contact information?
A: For families, please direct them to this page on the website. For BCPS Staff members, please login here and update your information. If you don't know your credentials to login, or if you are a contracted worker (EDUStaff, Manpower, etc.), please reach out to the HR Department for assistance.
Q: I need access to Skyward?
A: Your first step is to fill out this form to get an account set up, request additional permissions, and/or transfer from one building to another.
Q: I need access to Frontline (aka, AESOP and MLP), so I can fill out the after TTI survey, register for PD, etc.
A: Dori Mann is the person you need to connect with for access. She can be reached at: dmann@battle-creek.k12.mi.us
Q: Help a parent sign up for Comcast Essentials?
A: Have the parent contact their building's CIS Site Coordinator for help.
Q: Get help with students who are missing from my MAP, STAR, DnA, etc. roster?
A: Your first stop is going to be with your building secretary/counselor to ensure everything in Skyward is up-to-date and accurate. Just seeing a student in Skyward doesn't necessarily mean all their information is correct; however, your superhero secretary/counselor has a list of places to check!
