1. Brief description and aims of module:
In this module you will participate in a range of activities, which challenge you to explore and reflect on your personal creative identity, motivations and working methods.
You will be asking yourself questions about what you do and believe in as a graphic communicator and considering how you do this practically, before reflecting on where and when you might do this in both current and future professional contexts. By engaging with set tasks and independent personal research you will aim to construct a personal theory of professional possibility and aspiration.
2.Outline syllabus:
The module sessions will consist of a series of set activities and experiences including: industry lectures and visits, seminars, workshops, collaborative tasks, presentations and tutorials. You are expected to engage with and independently reflect on all these sessions and this process should be clearly documented and evidenced as you go through the module. Individual tasks and research will be briefed throughout the module aimed at developing strategies and tactics to help you develop, explore and map your personal creative identity, values and working methods and then to be able to articulate this in relation to potential critical, social and professional contexts.
3.Teaching and learning activities:
You will learn through tutor-led projects and exercises, tutorials, critiques, seminars, specialist workshops, professional lectures, peer discussion, field trips.
