1. Brief description and aims of module:
This module will introduce you to the principles of interactivity as it relates to graphic communication practice for both ‘type’ and ‘image’. Investigations include nonlinear narratives and issues of user navigation. The module builds upon and develops ‘time/design’ based thinking and skills introduced to you in earlier Graphic Communication modules.
2.Outline syllabus:
Studio projects and exercises introducing interactive principles as they relate to type and images and the shifting relationship between author/designer and reader will be explored. Production will combine analogue and digital technologies as appropriate.
3.Teaching and learning activities:
Studio Practice: projects and exercises with feedback tutorials, critiques, seminars, specialist workshops, lectures, peer reviews and your own investigations.
