1. Brief description and aims of module:
This module builds on the groundwork undertaken in ‘Brand, Identity and Promotion’, and culminates in the realisation of a series of live music events. This can range from a traditional tour, to more unconventional gigs such as club PA’s and/or digital streaming of live performances. These performances are preceded by, and connected with web, press, print, radio and product launch, as bands and artists work towards increasing the profile of their act and building their audience.
Fundamentals of live music management will be explored; from booking dates, to live touring logistics, and from on-going content generation, to financial planning and accounting.
