1. Brief description and aims of module:

In this module you will propose and create a music video or multimedia project that serves as promotional material for musical performances or audio-visual projects. The module offers opportunities for team working, collaboration and skills sharing between students from both Creative Music Technology and Commercial Music on the submitted projects.

This module aims to:

• Develop your ability to plan and produce a music video

• Develop your multimedia production skills using industry practices and tools

• Explore creative approaches to video production

2.Outline syllabus

• The module covers the following topics:

• Music video pre/post-production

• Multimedia authoring and editing software

• Creative approaches to music video production

• Performance to camera techniques

• Experimental film, visual music and video art

3.Teaching and learning activities

There will be weekly lectures, screenings, discussions and practical workshops. There are also studio filming sessions where projects require.
