The Pupil Core is an eye tracking platform that includes a wearable eye tracking headset and an open source software suite. The wearable eyeglasses-like frame includes one inward facing eye camera and one forward-facing world camera, allowing the subject to move freely whilst eyes are tracked and field of vision recorded.
The Pupil Core allows you to view and record real-time gaze and pupil data, and is compatible with PsychoPy for those wishing to run experiments with eye-tracking.
The Pupil Core is designed to work with an open source software suite, which can be downloaded to your desktop here.
Pupil Capture is used with the Pupil Core headset to read video streams coming from the world and eye camera. It detects your pupils, tracks your gaze, and can record or stream data.
Pupil Player is a media and data visualiser used to look at your recordings from Pupil Capture, and is used to both visualise and export your data.
Pupil Service is a slimmed down GUI and is intended for use with VR and AR eye tracking setups.
If you wish to use the Pupil Core, you can book it out using Siso. The tracker is stored in room SN.G19.
A how-to guide for using the Pupil Core with experiments in PsychoPy will be uploaded soon.
