Psychometric Tests

Below is a list of psychometric tests that are available for you to use. Psychometric tests are widely used for psychological assessment, and allow us to measure a range of concepts such as personality, behaviours, cognitive functioning, and psychological symptoms. Some of the tests below are made freely available to researchers, whilst others are commercially published and should not be photocopied or scanned.

If the test you are looking for is not below, there are various methods you can use to find these online. PsychINFO, subscribed to by the university and accessible via the Library pages, allows you to specify ‘Tests and Measures’ when you are conducting your searches. Alternatively, the British Psychological Society’s Psychological Testing Centre holds various information including reviews of psychological tests. Just because a test is available does not mean it is a valid or reliable scale, it is your responsibility to check the suitability of a measure for your own research.
