A library reflects an institute's teaching deftness and mission to serve. It acts as a source of a "gateway" for the students and scholars to quench their thirst for knowledge.

The library in the Department of Botany boasts of a treasure-house of text books, study materials and antiquarian books. It holds books ranging from classical Botany to modern techniques in Botany and Biological Sciences. To cater to the students of Honours and General under-graduate courses, there are books in both Bengali and English. Apart from students, the faculties can also access books from the departmental library as required. The uniqueness of the departmental library is that besides being supplied centrally from the college, the faculties of the Department of Botany contribute to this library by donating their personal books.
