Greetings and welcome to the Idaho City Wildcat Theatre/Publications/Media Arts Homepage!
My name is Dana Zoch and I am the Theatre, Speech and Publications/Media Arts teacher here in Idaho City. I also co-teach at the elementary so I get the privilege of working with First Graders through Seniors! I was so excited to join the school staff in Idaho City in 2019 and I look forward to many years of building and directing the Theatre program and being staff advisor to the Wildcat Yearbook staff and Wildcat Weekly News!
I moved here four years ago from the Houston/Galveston area where I taught Theatre for over 30 years. I have a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Theatre and piloted a program for exploring Audio/Video Production. In Texas, I directed over 100 plays, one-acts, talent shows and competition pieces where we won 1st place in our area play competition three years in a row. I also owned, produced and directed summer musical theatre camps with my theatre company OnStageKids! Inc. for 13 years.
I have been married 34 years to my wonderful husband Craig, who is an Project Manager for a chemical company. My son, Cameron and daughter-in-law Marit live in Texas near Austin and my daughter Noelle graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Communicative Disorders and currently works as a campus missionary in Denton Texas.
Besides theatre, my other passions are my faith, family, friends and of course, teaching! I love to read a good book or play and I enjoy sitting around a campfire either listening to ghost stories or telling them!
We have big things planned for our middle school/high school theatre classes, yearbook class, Wildcat Weekly news program and look forward to our journey together!
