Message from the Principal
Hello families and friends of BAMS!
November is here, bringing with it a season of gratitude, reflection, and community. It’s hard to believe how quickly the school year is moving along. As we approach the midpoint of the semester, we want to take a moment to highlight some key events, celebrate student achievements, and share a few reminders as we continue this journey together.
We are so proud of the hard work students have put into their classes this marking period. Many of our students have shown tremendous growth, not only academically but also in their approach to learning. As we continue to work toward the end of the semester, we encourage families to support students by helping them establish a routine that includes time for studying, projects, and personal reflection.
Conversation Starters:
What’s something you’re proud of accomplishing this 9 weeks?
If you could change one thing about your school day, what would it be?
What’s something you’re looking forward to at school this week?
Hopefully, some of these questions will help get the conversation started!
Attendance Matters
As we kick off the school year, we want to emphasize the importance of regular attendance. Consistent attendance helps students build relationships with their peers and teachers while keeping them on track with their learning. If your student is facing challenges that may affect their attendance, please reach out to our counseling team. We’re here to help!
A few dates to keep in mind….
Parent/Guardian/Teacher Conferences will be on November 8th. Students will not have school on November 8th.
Make-up picture day will be on Friday, November 15th.
No school for students on November
Be sure to check out our STARS of the month. STARS stands for Students Taking a Right Stand, and each month, 2 students from each grade are selected as the STARS!
As we approach the season of giving thanks, we want to express our appreciation to each of you. Our school thrives because of the involvement and support of our families, staff, and community members. Thank you for all you do to make our middle school a place where every student feels valued and inspired to learn.
With gratitude,
Dr. Garman and Dr. Eckenroth

During Activity period in Mrs. Heverly's classroom the students are working on learning to draw. The students vote on what they would like to draw then they follow a simple tutorial video through Art for kids hub on YouTube. The students created dinosaur cards for Rees Stewart during our first session and these lovely Snoopy pictures when we met last. The students have a fun time and take pride in their drawings.
The kickoff fundraiser is more than just a chance to raise money for the student body, especially for Aubrey Burke who won this 32 inch Smart TV. All she had to do was scan the QR code, upload her picture, add 10 adult contacts, and turn the button from blue to green. Thank you to all the students participating in the fundraiser and for raising over $10.3K to date and a loud shout out congratulations to Aubrey.
