The ASVAB test is different from the ACT. While the ACT measures achievement and information for college applications, the ASVAB measures knowledge and acquired skills. This helps predict future academic and occupational success and gives students insight into their options and planning their next steps after high school. The ASVAB CEP consists of three main components: the ASVAB (an aptitude test); assessments in the forms of the Find Your Interest Inventory (FYI) and Work Values Situational Judgment activity; and career exploration using the OCCU-Find. Students also have access to planning tools like My Portfolio, My Education & Career Plans, and My Coursework Planner. It is also a test that is required to take if a student would like to join military services.
