At Bantucola, our mission is to support and advocate for African American businesses, with a focus on addressing issues such as gentrification, displacement, and the growth of Black-owned enterprises in Pensacola. We are looking for motivated, passionate interns to join our team and assist with our various programs and initiatives. Each internship role plays a key part in achieving our mission and providing essential services to the community. As a Marketing and Communications Intern, you will assist with Bantucola’s social media management, email marketing campaigns, content creation, and website maintenance.
This role involves conducting research related to issues such as gentrification, economic disparity, and the challenges faced by Black-owned businesses.
You will assist with donor outreach, research potential funding sources, help organize fundraising events, and manage our donor databases.
Your responsibilities will include logistical planning, coordinating with vendors, and promoting events to maximize community participation and engagement.
You may also assist in video editing or multimedia projects that support Bantucola’s advocacy campaigns and community initiatives.
You will work closely with Bantucola’s communications team to pitch stories, write press releases, assist in media outreach, and track media coverage.
Your responsibilities will include logistical planning, coordinating with vendors, and promoting events to maximize community participation and engagement.
You will also assist in preparing reports to funders, ensuring that Bantucola meets its fundraising goals and maintains strong relationships with grantors.
You will work closely with Bantucola’s communications team to pitch stories, write press releases, assist in media outreach, and track media coverage.
