Bantucola is an organization dedicated to empowering Black-owned businesses and advocating for social, economic, and cultural equity in the Gulf Coast region. Our mission is to address critical issues that impact the Black community, such as gentrification, displacement, and the lack of resources for Black entrepreneurs.
We support Black-owned businesses by providing a range of services, including:
Resources and Networking: Helping business owners connect with one another, access financial support, and grow their businesses through education, mentorship, and partnerships.
Advocacy: Bantucola works to raise awareness about the challenges Black business owners face, from economic disparities to policies that disproportionately affect the community. We advocate for change at local, state, and national levels.
Community Empowerment: We aim to build a thriving, supportive community where Black entrepreneurs can access the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. This includes hosting events, workshops, and networking sessions to elevate businesses and create a stronger sense of solidarity.
Economic Justice: Through our advocacy, events, and partnerships, Bantucola seeks to break down the barriers that Black business owners face, contributing to the creation of a more equitable economy for everyone.
As an intern, you'll be working alongside a passionate and driven team focused on creating positive change for Black businesses and the community. You will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects, gain real-world experience, and develop your skills while helping us achieve our mission.
At Bantucola, our goals are centered around creating long-term, meaningful change for Black-owned businesses and the communities they serve. We aim to expand economic opportunities by advocating for policies that support Black entrepreneurs and addressing systemic barriers such as gentrification and displacement. Our focus is on building a robust network of Black business owners who can collaborate, access resources, and thrive together. We also strive to raise awareness about the unique challenges Black business owners face and work to ensure that their voices are heard, valued, and supported in the broader business ecosystem. Ultimately, our goal is to create a more equitable and just society where Black businesses have the resources, opportunities, and community support they need to succeed and grow.
