Join us on Saturday 3rd October for a seaside hike at Red Wharf Bay!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Meet us at Bangor Bus Station at 8:40am. Please bring your own money for the bus - you can save money on bus tickets by getting a MyTravelPass.
This hike will follow the coast of Anglesey from Pentraeth to Moelfre. The terrain will be varied including sandy beaches, rocky shorelines and muddy footpaths. The hike will be 12km long with 350m elevation gain. The weather may be very cold, windy, and rainy.
Please bring appropriate clothing for hiking: sensible footwear, backpack, waterproof coat, waterproof trousers, hat, gloves, and plenty of warm layers. Please do not wear jeans. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the kit - you can borrow boots, backpacks, hats, gloves, and waterproofs from us. If you’d like to borrow any equipment, make sure to say what you need in the sign-up form (For clothing/footwear please say what size you are!).
Bring a packed lunch and at least 2L of water.

Like last week, there will be an early hike and a later hike. For the early hike, please meet us at Bangor Bus Station at 7:55am. For the late hike, please meet us at the bus station at 8:55am. Please bring your own money for the bus - you can save money on bus tickets by getting a MyTravelPass. Make sure to select which hike you would like to do on the sign-up form.
These will be challenging mountain hikes involving steep, rocky, and boggy terrain. Both walks will be around 11km long with 720m of elevation gain, but the earlier walk will take a slightly more challenging route. The weather may be very cold, windy, and rainy. If you fancy an easier walk, we are also doing a lowland walk at Red Wharf Bay on Saturday.
