For this project, I found samples of 4 different types of digital media, and I credited them.
So I found an image of a forest on Openverse, and I downloaded the small size version from Flickr.
The image is shared under CC by 2.0 license, which means you can:
Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.
Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
But you must follow these terms:
Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use.
This is a sample audio file called Transformer Sound, and I picked it because I like Transformers, especially the part where they transform into robots.
This audio is shared under CC by 1.0 license, which means there is no copyright, you can:
Copy, modify, distribute and perform the work, even for commercial purposes
All without asking for permission.
This is an animated gif of an anchor falling, and I found it on Giphy.
I couldn't find much licensing information or sharing limitations, but Giphy's Proprietary Rights exist. It states:
You’re allowed to use the Services only in accordance with this agreement.
You're allowed to use content that you find on the site in connection with your use of the Services and solely for personal and non-commercial purposes.

According to the Terms of Use:

I have learned a lot about the different types of licensing from Creative Commons and the file types of media. The sharing limitations were also interesting, and it's good to know about them.
