This is an AI image of an adult Stakalar (Also known as Testudo Glacies) from the newly discovered plant with lifeforms that we currently call Planet X. With cold, harsh environments for these creatures to endure. With animals that are 25 m tall to 100 year old dragons, what will we see next?
This creature was an apex predator that lived in the mountains of Planet X feeding off anything that has a death wish to go into its territory. This 6 legged beast has these barbed bits at the end of its tail like a sting ray and has amphibian skin under its scales that are on an angle so it can drink through its skin. Recommended that you want to avoid getting bitten as much as possible because it can probably crush a car with one bite, which also includes your whole body. Though it has worse eyesight than most animals but not as bad as some others. This Reptile eventually became the predator of Stakalar.
Sameer's first design was a mammal, goat-like humanoid that scavenges the equator's tundra. Ramming into predators for self defence against anything roaming around for prey. Not much info is given but it is nocturnal for an unknown reason (Maybe because most animals are asleep) and can run at 72 kph. It also has abs in its abs, abception. Though this animal was eventually, sadly scrapped.
If you want to see the bone structure, look below the head of the animal depicted in the picture.
This is the creature that formed into Stakalar, male being 1 m tall and female being 2 this reptilian creature (Male only) has a way to conjure up frost-breath by just breathing in the cold air and storing it in their lungs for an extended amount of time depending how cold the creature wants it to be and they just send it back out at friends or foes. Because the females have icicles sticking out of their backs as a form of camouflage and extra protection from the frost-breath. Living in packs the males protect the females while scouting. The female looks sort of like a tortoise and the male looks sort of like if a cat and a lizard mixed together. This creature has two arms beside its mouth acting like human hands to hold and tear meat off corpses as they are scavengers.
Stakalar
Introduction:
Today, I’m gonna tell you all about the amazing scavenger called Stakalar. Where it lives, what it eats, how it survives, how it produces babies and what happens after they’ve been born. This is one of the first public articles of Planet X as if we made it public as soon as we found it there may be interplanetary conflict.
Habitat:
Living in packs, Stakalars are found in a tundra-polar-like region. It’s cold like the tundra, but the place has heaps of tall spikes sticking out of the ground. In the middle of the biome. There is a giant pink orb filled with energy. It’s also their food source and how they survive. It also kinda keeps them a bit warm. Acting like a sun.
Diet:
Stakalars are scavengers, that means they eat dead things. The pink orb that I was talking about is their food source. The pink orb sucks in the nutrients from dead animals and blows it back out like a shockwave, glittering down and hovering above the ground. They consume it when they’re hungry or need to feed their babies. The nutrient ash/dust stays edible for Stakalars for about a day before they rot and become poisonous. Eventually disappearing into thin air. If predators try to attack from behind they can give a large kick like a horse or ox.
Reproduction:
When a female Stakalar is ready to mate, it clicks its mouth like a velociraptor. The male Stakalar breathes its cold breath on her back, which makes icicles. It takes about 6 months to hatch Staklers. When they hatch, the Staklers,(baby Stakalars) practice on the female's back to survive because their habitat is filled with long, sharp ice-spikes that are everywhere. Then in about 7-8 months, they become older like teenagers. A sort of a form of metamorphosis. They don’t practise on their mother’s back anymore. Instead, they stay with their mother and she teaches them how to stay safe near the big spikes. When they grow even older, they can travel anywhere they want in their habitat without anyone’s assistance.
Appearance:
Both males and females have tiny little arms on their faces, more specifically, their cheeks. They use these arms to rip off meat from dead animals. The pink orb is not the only way they get food, as the pink orb is more of a heat production than a food resource. Females have longer arms than the males so they can provide food for their babies, reaching up and handing them food because unlike humans they don’t need to learn how to grab objects and organisms. They also have a body shape similar to tortoises with fur on the side. It’s a reptile-like creature but also like a tortoise, like I said before. The Stakalar has cat- like legs which means they can jump pretty high. As we discussed, at the time of mating, the female Stakalar gets icicles on her back because of the male. Another weird fact is that the Stakalar’s body colour is completely white, cool right? It’s not just for style though, it’s more of a form of camouflage as they have predators that will demolish this creature if encountered.
Predators:
The Stakalar’s predators are very strong, which are the Busheer and the Crystalised Scorpion. The Crystalised Scorpion is a type of scorpion and has its whole body covered in crystals it uses its stinger to camouflage as an icicle while it is in its burrow underground. When a Stakalar touches its stinger it wraps around them and takes them underground into their burrow unable to escape. It's a very fierce creature and it uses the crystals as armour as well. No Stakalar is known to have killed a Crystalised Scorpion before. But this way of killing has one fatal flaw. Whenever any creature touches the “icicle” it brings them down. But there is only one other creature that roams the landscape. The Busheer. If that gets brought down the Scorpion is basically doomed as the reptile has an abnormally strong bite as it creates a spark and it eats the crystals as an appetiser. It has little barbed bits at the end of its tail like a stingray and has amphibian-like skin to absorb water from the skin. The scales are slightly tilted as well so the water can go through and it is 20 meter tall which is huge.
Undiscovered and Undefined Facts:
Astroseekers have only recently discovered this planet, so, like any other newly discovered stuff, lots is unknown. Like why does the stabiliser of the orb have runic symbols on it? Or how the Crystallized Scorpion even exists. So this paragraph is dedicated to the most reasonable answers we currently have.
The symbols on the so called “stabiliser” are probably a sign of language dating back to an ancient civilization. We can’t find where this civilization has gone but in the future we might find out. As for the Crystalised Scorpion we have no idea the best answer we can tell you is that the Crystalised Scorpion may eat Quarts and unknown materials underground in their burrows other than Stakalar. Now how do creatures that are giant not crumble to gravity and bones not hold to bodyweight, we may have an idea. They probably don’t have bones, well they do. But not made out of bone. Instead maybe a type of metal, but as for the muscles. We don’t know how the muscles keep up the giant structure of some animals.
Summary:
So that's our creature that we have shown. Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed our little presentation of the Planet X discovery unit.
There are many different types of species of Stakalar the most common being the one from the start of this page. The only reason there are more than one species is because they live in different areas. There are many orbs around the planet and each is a different colour. Most common being pink because that's home to the most common Stakalar. Bottom left being purple and top left being red orb. Some scientists think that the core of this planet is a giant white orb with a cavern leading to that orb to harvest its energy from this civilisation. But that's not likely as we don't know how advanced this civilisation is or even if it exists.
The Stakalar lives in between the tundra and the polar regions of Planet X. It's a mix of rocks icicles and ice-pillars sticking out of the ground with snowy mountain ranges and mist covering the air. The ground changes from stone to ice in an instant when you enter this area. It has a huge pink orb bursting with energy making it send waves of light vertically, electricity sparking out like lightning. The closer you go towards the orb the more skinny the path becomes. The orb is quite similarly structured like a star being made out of plasma which does emit radiation. Luckily the radiation is being covered by a sort of extra ozone layer covering the orb. We don't know if this is natural or not but it is interesting to think about.
The Busheer was described in the report so this section is the little details of it. The Busheer has 18/20 vision and 15/20 night vision along with its good sense of smell. It prefers to eat fresh as it only hunts some animals as it likes the taste of that animal. But its favourite food by far is Stakalar. Most domesticated animals like being pat. Infact, most animals like being pat by people they trust so someone raised a baby Busheer and it's now being used as a guard dog. If you want to raise one you have to have a permit and make sure it doesn't cause any damage to the base at Planet X because it uses its tail to grab certain stuff and sometimes even throws it to a recorded maximum of 40 meters (Tennis ball). Though, it's not that accurate fortunately. From birth this animal is cheeky learning to throw small rocks at other babies at half a month old and can run at 45 kph mainly because of its incredible size.
The baby Stakalar (Stakler) is white in appearance with humanoid proportions and a lizard body. When born they play on their mothers back, practising living in cold areas. They act differently than the Stakalars as they are younger (Which is usual in child behaviour) and because they are smaller in size so they have to act differently. If they are ever separated from their mother they will find a small hole (or dig) they will crawl inside until they see another of their kind.
