Head down to the bottom to play a Kahoot! 😃
My first idea was based on the Arctic Hare, because they are so cute and pretty. Their eyes can see 360 degrees. This helps them find food and helps them stay safe. They have nice thick fur to keep them warm. They are different from other Hares because their ears are nice and little. This helps them warm up quickly and stay warm longer.
My first plan idea was to make a herbivore. As I kept on planning, I added many more things from planet Earth animals; like a guinea pig body, bunny teeth, claws, moose horns and wings to make it like an alien-like and I ended up with the animal on the image. (See above.)
We are now using my creature as our final design.
My first design was to make a hybrid of different Earth creatures. I combined the shape and size of a duck with the lungs of a seal (so it could hold its breath longer) and the hunting abilities of a Vampire. It would feed on fish blood and use the skin to make its armour.
We are now using my creature as its natural predator.
   Below Is Our Chosen Animal
Our final habitat has blue flowers for the Glowing Glider to eat, as well as purple ones.  It has rocky caves and caves that the Glider lives in. The males eat the blue flowers for glowing. The females eat them as well, but don't need to glow. The females also eat the purple flowers during breeding season.
The Polar Dixonpire is the Glowing Gliders main predator. It has large yellow eyes to see into the distance. Its claws are razor sharp for skewering its prey in one swift motion. It preys on the Glowing Glider for the natural minerals located in the males glow and the females milk. It drinks the blood (using the fangs located in its mouth) of the Glowing Glider and then dumps the bodies.Â
These are the Lux Purpura flowers that the fathers of new born Glowing Gliders must find for the mother to make her colostrum. Â (Breast Milk)
The Lux Purpura flowers grow only deep underground. They don't like sunlight and the mother must eat the flowers very soon after being picked. These flowers only grow in the wet season.
The Infantom Blue flowers grow out of the ice and snow and can be found all year round. The males eat these flowers and the minerals inside give the males the unique ability to glow. This helps the males find a mate. The brighter the male glows, the more likely he is to find a mate.
The females also eat the Infantom Blue flowers, however the females don't need to attract mates and so don't glow. This also helps the females avoid being spotted by the Polar Dixonpire, the Glowing Gliders main predator, which is nocturnal.
Glowing Glider (Candenti Glider)Â
The Glowing Glider are mammals, they have adapted to live in many cold climates. It feeds on blue glowing flowers and light purple flowers, the males have adapted to be able to glow. They have the rocky white fur to camouflage. They also have moose like horns with sharp claws on the end to dig into caves. Glowing Glider's have a lifespan of 30 years.
Appearance/Adaptation
The Glowing Glider are mammals, they have adapted to live in many cold climates. They feed on Blue Flowers, also known as the Infantom Blue flowers. Inside the Infantom Blue flowers, there are special minerals which have given the males the unique ability to be able to glow.Â
The Glowing Glider has rocky white fur to camouflage in with its known habitat, the rocky cliffs and snow off the equator. It has grey, long moose-like horns with dagger sharp spikes on them to fight off predators and dig down into the hard rocky ground. Its small ears are able to hear better than most Earth creatures. This is so they can hear the light flaps of their predator, The Polar Dixonpire. The Glowing Glider also has sharp teeth for pulling out flower roots, but they don’t use these for chewing, instead they use their back pointer teeth.Â
Their eyes are small but are still able to see long distances. They have a grey flap of skin under their arms. They can’t fly, but this allows them to glide down from sheer cliffs without a scratch, and jump into the wind for easier travel from place to place. For easier gliding, they have hollow bones. Â
DietÂ
The Glowing Glider eats Blue flowers, also known as the Infantom Blue flowers. This is where the males get the minerals allowing them to glow to attract a mate. The brighter the males glow, the more likely the females are to be attracted to them. The females also eat the Infantom blue flowers but don’t need to glow, this helps them stay safe at night from the Glowing Gliders main predator, The Polar Dixonpire.Â
During the wet season, (The Mating Season) the females must eat light purple flowers, scientifically known as the Lux purpura, which are for the mother’s mammary glands to produce colostrum. The flowers only grow during this season. The light purple flowers grow underground in any part of their region. Â
Reproduction
The Glowing Glider gives birth to live young, about four - six each year. After a pair has mated, Glowing Gliders usually stay mates for life. The baby Glowing Gliders are born in the driest part of the cave. Once born, the mothers stay with them while the fathers go out and find Lux Purpura flowers. Baby Glowing Gliders stay with their mothers for about 3 years, until they have fully developed their horns.
Habitat
The Glowing Glider is found in rocky mountain areas inside caves where they spend their time sleeping. However, Glowing Gliders spend most of their time outside hunting or rolling in the snow. They live close to the equator for warmth and so that they can hide in the few trees and shrubs found in their habitat.Â
During the dry season, there isn’t lots of snow, so the Glowing Glider tends to stay underground, hidden.Â
Predators
The Glowing Glider’s main predator is The Polar Dixonpire. The Polar Dixonpire is the Glowing Glider's main predator.
