Subject Matter- What the artist has chosen to represent or depict in their artwork (i.e, what the artwork is of)

Abstract- An artwork that does not accurately or clearly resemble something. An artwork can be semi-abstract (the subject matter might still be recognisable) or fully abstract (the artwork has no recognisable subject matter)
