JROTC Cadet Creed
I am an Army Junior ROTC Cadet.

JROTC Uniform
THE FEMALE JROTC UNIFORM
Requirements
Hair must be off the ears and collar. Ponytails and Braids must be worn down the center of the back in all uniforms, but the length will not extend past the bottom of the shoulder blades while at the position of attention. There is no minimum length for the wear of a ponytail or braid.
Only black scrunches can be worn.
Scrunches must be the color of your hair color.
Only one ring per hand can be worn.
Black socks or nylons (nude, beige, tan, or taupe) must be worn.
Only one set of stud earrings can be worn that coincide with each other.
No flashy or excessive amount of make-up should be worn.
Only clear, skin tone or natural color nail polish is acceptable.
Class A
Rank: 1/2 inch from the edge of the shoulder seam. Arrows always point toward the collar.
School Shoulder Patch: Centered on the shoulder sleeve. 1/2 inch down from the shoulder seam.
JROTC Shoulder Patch: Centered on the shoulder sleeve. 1/2 inch down from the shoulder seam.
Star: Centered (left-right) 1/4 inch above the nametag.
Academic Wreath: Centered (left-right) 1/8 inch above the nametag.
Name Tag: The bottom of the nametag is aligned with the top of the first button; centered on the seam.
School Crest: Centered between the second and third buttons, placed on the seam.
Ribbons: The bottom of the ribbons is aligned with the top of the first button; center on the seam.
Pins: Place between the second and third buttons, centered (left-right) on the seam. Each pin is placed 1/4 inch apart.
JROTC Pin (Officers): Placed diagonally on the upper lapel.
Cords: A maximum of two cords can be worn. If one is worn, it goes on the left. If two are worn, the highest goes on the left.
THE MALE JROTC UNIFORM
Requirements
Clean-cut hair cuts, off ears and collar.
A clean shaved face; mustaches should not be any wider than the width of the mouth.
No sideburns.
No earrings are worn with the uniform.
Black dress socks are to be worn with the uniform.
Allowed only one ring per hand.
Class A

Name Tag: Centered between the top of the pocket and the pocket button.
Ribbons: Center on the pocket. Stacked from the top of the pocket.
Pins: Centered (top-bottom) between the bottom of the flap and the bottom of the pocket. Each pin is placed 1/4 inch apart from each other.
Cords: A maximum of two cords can be worn. If one is worn, it goes on the left. If two are worn, the highest goes on the left.
Wear it every Wednesday!
As an Army JROTC cadet, you will be issued a Class B uniform, which comprises a shirt, trousers or skirt, belt, beret, white undershirt, dress socks, and cadet/unit insignias. Furthermore, during formal or ceremonial occasions such as the Military Ball, cadets are required to wear a Class A uniform, which includes a coat worn over the Class B uniform.
It is of paramount importance that cadets diligently observe and adhere to the prescribed uniform regulations, ensuring the correct and complete wear of their uniform at all times.
Cadet Uniform Guidelines
Cadets are required to wear their uniform in full on assigned days, which typically include every Wednesday.
If you are unable to attend a uniform day for any reason, please make sure to contact your instructor.
Please follow all Uniform Regulations listed below:
Failure to uphold these regulations will result in demerits and potential disciplinary action.
WEAR YOUR BERETS WHEN NOT UNDER COVER!
In addition, make sure to wear your white undershirt and dress socks when in uniform.
Instructors and Cadet Leadership may ask you to show it to ensure you're wearing it during inspection.
