🌾 Happy National Teach Ag Day! 🌾
Today, we celebrate the incredible impact of agriculture education and honor the teachers who inspire the next generation of leaders in this vital field.
Meet our own teacher, Ms. Couch:
“My journey in agriculture education started in the classroom, where I witnessed firsthand the powerful impact and inspiration agriculture brings to students and the community. That spark ignited my passion, and I immersed myself in the FFA and everything ag-related.
I knew then that I wanted to become an agriculture teacher. I pursued my dream by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Education from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. After graduating, I was thrilled to join Baldwin High School as their Agriculture teacher. Now in my second year here, I feel truly blessed to be part of this amazing school community.”
A huge thank you to my Ag teacher, Mr. Skylar Davis, my professors at ABAC, and the incredible administration team at BHS,Mrs. Clayton, Dr. Griffith, and Mr. Lassetter for all their support!
Here’s to the educators who cultivate knowledge, growth, and opportunity every day. 🌱✨

Dr. Sallad became a counselor thanks to the encouragement of his own high school guidance counselor, Mr. Flakess. After serving in the military, Mr. Flakes saw something special in him and suggested he pursue counseling—and he hasn’t looked back since!
Dr. Sallad’s favorite part of being a counselor is watching his students grow and seeing the joy on their faces when they achieve their dreams of graduation. "There’s nothing like it," he says.
Let’s take a moment to appreciate Dr. Sallad and all the amazing counselors who make a difference every day!
Her journey into school counseling is deeply personal. Inspired by her younger brother, who faced isolation and a lack of support in school during the 1980s, she made it her mission to ensure that no student feels alone. Witnessing his struggles ignited a passion within her to be a source of encouragement, guidance, and emotional support for students navigating life’s challenges.
Because of her unwavering commitment, our students have a champion who advocates for their well-being every single day. Whether it’s providing a listening ear, offering guidance, or creating a safe space, she makes a lasting impact on the lives of so many.
With a mission to help develop great men and women starting at a young age, Dr. Adams has dedicated his life to guiding and empowering students. Counseling has always been a part of his journey, and the rewarding experience of seeing the fruits of his labor keeps him motivated every day.
