It is with a very heavy heart that Baldwin High School shares the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Dr. Jason Wright, Social Studies teacher and Department Chair at Baldwin High School.
Dr. Wright joined BHS over seven years ago and has faithfully served our students, staff, and community ever since. He taught U.S. History, IB History, AP Government, and AP World History, and was an integral member of our BHS Leadership Team.
Dr. Wright was not only an exceptional educator and department chair but also a trusted colleague, mentor, and friend. His passion for teaching, his commitment to academic excellence, and his genuine care for students and staff will leave a lasting legacy in the halls of Baldwin High School. He will be deeply missed.
Please keep his wife and family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. We will share information about arrangements as soon as they are finalized.
As we grieve together, may we find comfort in these words:
“What we have once enjoyed we can never lose;
all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
— Helen Keller
A Bright Spot for Baldwin High: Comfort and Calm in the Library
Baldwin High School extends heartfelt gratitude to the K9 Angels Therapy Dog Organization from Milledgeville, GA, for their timely and comforting visit on Tuesday.
Coordinated by the School Librarian and Judith Keim, the library was transformed into a supportive haven, giving students from the Access classes, students from other departments, and faculty members a chance to pause and recharge.
This uplifting activity was invaluable, providing a source of calm and support for our community as we continue to mourn the loss of Dr. Wright and Mr. Blom. The presence of the therapy dogs offered a quiet, comforting respite during a difficult time.
It’s a great day to be a brave! They said it couldn’t be done, but Karez Demory made it happen. He signed his NLI to Southern University. Karez is the first Baldwin High School boys basketball player to sign Division I out of high school since 2001. Major accomplishment for him and the program. Congrats go out to our guy! #BTB
